Legal subscription for growing businesses
Flex Business Lawyer is a monthly subscription that gives your company up to 5 attorney hours every month for $1,997. Use them on contracts, hiring, partners, trademarks, disputes or deals. Predictable monthly cost, no full-time salary.
Flex Business Lawyer is a monthly legal subscription for small and mid-sized businesses, offered by Chase Neely, PC. For $1,997 per month, subscribers get up to 5 attorney hours to use on any business legal matter, including contracts, employment, governance, trademarks, disputes and transactions. Additional time is $550 per hour, and unused hours don't roll over. The service is built for companies with roughly $1 million to $5 million in revenue that need regular legal help but aren't ready to hire in-house counsel. Chris Clark, a business attorney with more than 20 years of practice, leads client work and coordinates licensed co-counsel when a matter requires it. The firm has offices in Charlotte, Nashville, Denver and Washington, DC.
Most growing businesses are stuck between two options that don’t fit. Hourly billing makes you hesitate before every email to your lawyer, so small questions turn into expensive problems. A full-time in-house attorney costs far more than a $1M–$5M company can justify.
Flex sits in between: a set monthly price, a lawyer who knows your business, and hours you can use whenever something comes up.
Your 5 monthly hours go wherever your business needs them. For larger matters like litigation, acquisitions or financing, we give you a time estimate before work starts.
Draft, review and redline customer agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs and leases.
Offer letters, contractor agreements, handbooks, classification questions and separations.
Operating agreements, shareholder issues, buy-sell terms and entity clean-up.
Trademark searches and filings, IP assignments and protecting what you've built.
Demand letters, collections, early dispute strategy, and a plan before things escalate.
Acquisitions, sales, investments and new ventures, with a time estimate upfront.
Tell us about your company, its owners, your state and what you need help with. It takes about five minutes.
We run a conflict check, then send your engagement agreement and billing details to review and sign.
We meet to learn your business, your contracts and what's coming up.
Email your attorney when something comes up. We tell you upfront when a matter needs an estimate, and we ask before going past your monthly hours.

It's similar. You get a business lawyer who learns your company and handles your ongoing legal work, on a predictable monthly subscription rather than an hourly or full-time arrangement.
Not yet. After you submit the intake form, we run a conflict check. If conflicts clear, we send you an engagement agreement. Representation begins once that agreement is signed.
